Dinky 555 Fire Engine With Rare Brown Extending Ladder

Manufactured 1952-1953

A superb example of this early 1950's issue Dinky model.This is the very rare version with a brown metal extending ladder only produced for three months (November 1952 – January 1953) and probably shorter, because in that period a change of ladder colour took place from brown to silver. Model 555 with the brown ladder is VERY scarce. Original red paintwork is good with some chips/rubs, please study the photos for exact condition. Original tyres on metal hubs, free rolling axles, extension ladder section present and perfect tin baseplate.

Comes in its original early blue box which is all complete with marks and wear with rubs to edges/corners, small perforation ro one end, nice and firm with no repairs, please study the photos.
