Dinky New Avengers Set 307
Planned originally for release in 1978/79
A beautifully crafted example of this lovely set to complete TV related collections. This code 3 set features Steeds "Big Cat" which has been prepared in "Kingfisher" blue, complimented by a hand painted gold stripes and completed using Purdy's Triumph TR7 which of was issued as 112. The set was planned originally for 1979 and was featured in the 1978/79 Dinky Meccano catalogue. I have added pictures using an original catalogue for reference (not included). Sadly the set was never issued due to industrial action and the closing of the Binns Road factory in 1979.
The set is presented in a beautifully made box and is true to the original design with a square cornered header card and a card inner plinth has been made to replicate the original polystyrene one planned.
All in all a lovely piece to take pride of place in any TV related collection and rarely available.
